My Weekend Trade Regret and My Plan for Monday

It's Sunday afternoon, and I’m feeling fantastic—probably the best I’ve felt since getting sick back in January. A little time out on the boat with the ocean air seems to be the perfect cure. But despite the great mood, my husband just caught me grumbling at my desk around 4:00 P.M., completely absorbed in my charts. It’s a common scene when you're ; the work never really stops.

The source of my frustration? A look back at a trade from last Friday. I was short on the EUR/USD, but with the market acting erratically and the 1.1900 psychological level holding as firm support, I decided to play it safe and close my position. I figured 1.1900 could easily become a launchpad for prices come Sunday evening. Making cautious moves is a key part of ; you have to protect your capital above all else.

Now, looking at the screen, I can see that the 1.1900 level didn't hold after all. Prices are currently trading just below it, which is exactly the scenario I had originally predicted. It’s classic trader’s remorse, and it’s a tough part of managing a . But I know better than to get upset. Sunday evening price action can be misleading, and the real test will come in about six or seven hours when the London session kicks off. That's when we'll see the market's true intentions, which is crucial knowledge when you're and can't monitor things constantly.

For now, the price is breaking 1.1890. As long as it stays below 1.1900, that old support level has now flipped to become new resistance. This is the kind of setup that makes so engaging. Even though I’m out of the market, I'm confident I can find a new entry point. If prices consolidate around that 1.1900 mark, I’ll be watching the 30- or 60-minute charts for another opportunity to get short. This is a game of patience, and unlike many , it rewards careful planning over hasty reactions. I'm flat for now, but my plan for Monday is set.
